I don't think of myself as a writer, but I do jokingly think of myself as an author. I have created story premises, so technically I'm an author, right? Admittedly, it's a bit of self-indulgent nonsense, but a writer has to start somewhere. And speaking of beginnings, I have read tons of books about writing and scoured dozens of forums giving advice on how to write. So, have I written? Just a little.
So, here's a start - I will write out my mission statement.
My mission statement for this blog is to put writing advice into practice. I will do my best to post regularly my trials and tribulations when following the advice from random online articles, quotes on how to write from famous authors, as well as advice from critique groups.
There. That wasn't so bad.
But, I am a procrastinator at heart, so first thing's first. I need to organize my mess! I have dozens of story ideas written in so many different places that I simply must collate them and make them more accessible for when I finally decide to start what I started.
